Culture
If you are fully charged with the power of the Nature and you are thirsty for some culture, don't worry, you can find some! Probably you have to travel a little bit, to get them, because Sovata is too little. Most of the opportunities are in Targu Mures (60 km away), where you can get easily by bus or Réka can drop you off when she is heading to the weekly office meeting.
Theatre
The Teatru National (in Targu Mures) has good plays or in Romanian or in Hungarian. Yeah, I know, it can be a challenge, but you can try it! It is depend on the play, but you can still learn and understand a lot from it. Christiane saw a Hungarian play with us, and I think she enjoyed it most. :) Here you can check the program: www.teatrunational.ro
In that case if you want to understand the full play you can go to the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj for a longer trip. Here you can choose which play is subtitled in English (most of them are). www.huntheater.ro/en
Museum
The Palace of Culture is in Targu Mures. There are exhibitions (Romanian and Hungarian Art), but the building itself worth to see. The entry fee is so cheap that even you can afford it from your pocket money!:) Here is the website: palatul-culturii.ro/en/ Eventually there are classical music concerts. If you are lucky you can hear them in the buliding while they are practising. :)
Library
Next to the Palace of Culture is the Maros County Library. The registration is free, but you will need a form completed by someone in the office, that she/he will take the responsibility. This is necessary because we are not local.
